Dearbhla Breen Joins The Team!

It is with great joy and excitement that we announce the joining of Dearbhla Breen to the team here at Function Physiotherapy!

PV PHYS 1

Dearbhla is the real inspiration behind the clinic being set-up after all, dragging her husband all the way from Australia to do so, so it’s only fitting that she now works here at Penrose Wharf.

Dearbhla spent the last year working at Performance Physiotherapy across town and she would like to take this opportunity to thank Sinead, Eimear and Sarah for the experience gained during her time there.

Here is a little about Dearbhla if you missed it on the homepage:

‘Dearbhla is a Chartered Physiotherapist who graduated from UL in 2007 and then went abroad to work in New Zealand and Australia gaining experience in the public hospital system but predominantly working in private practice. She has completed extensive post graduate training including gaining a graduate certificate in orthopaedic manual therapy from Curtin University in Western Australia, dysfunction in the pregnant and post-partum pelvis, two levels of advanced dry needling training, functional sports rehabilitation and she is a Level 2 Pilates instructor.  She has worked with numerous athletes and sporting teams, including Irish international basketball teams, athletes and rowers competing at International level, Gaelic football teams, the Blackrock senior hurling team, and is currently the team physiotherapist to the Irish senior Women’s basketball team.’

Dearbhla is available now for one-on-one physiotherapy consultations and has already commenced small group exercise classes fusing pilates with a number other strength and conditioning approaches using the ‘Function-approach’ which she was integral in developing.

If you’ve been looking for Dearbhla, please contact the clinic on (021) 233 9045 or use the ‘Book An Appointment’ form above to organise an appointment or register for a class.
